Important membership meeting

Agenda:
§ Discussion and membership vote on whether to approve the proposal for the Office of the Duke Forest to assume ownership of the building for use as an education and outreach center. This contract includes provisions to ensure unrestricted use of the building for the Association, naming rights and guaranties for continued operation of the New Hope Volunteer Fire Department.
§ Members must be current on dues in order to vote.

Traditional Country Breakfast
Good news! The 2010 NHIA Breakfast has now been scheduled thanks to all those who have volunteered to help.
WHEN: Saturday, May 1
TIME: 7 am to 11 am
PLACE: New Hope Improvement Association Building at 4012 Whitfield Road
MENU: Our traditional country breakfast (Ham, sausage, eggs, grits and homemade biscuits)
COST: $7 for adults and $3 for children. Ham or sausage biscuit for $1 each.
Proceeds will be divided between the Association and the New Hope Volunteer Fire Department.
It's not too late to volunteer by calling Walter Fowler at 489-7775 or by emailing him at walterfowler@gmail.com.

Turkey Run Results
Beautiful day after all the rain. 152 entrants, 140 finishers (up about 30 from last yr). The young man who was the overall winner 2 yrs ago at age 15 wins again and his twin is second, just like 2 yrs ago!
